What is The Armory?

The Armory provides the perfect environment to learn, have fun and get better at your game.

The range building, nicknamed 'The Armory' is where golfers can pick up essential tools needed such as tees, gloves, towels, drinks, snacks, and other accessories. Range balls are available from the ball dispenser at the side of The Armory building.

The Skirmish Course

During the Battle of San Jacinto, there were many small fights or skirmishes that made winning the battle possible for Texans.

The Skirmish, a three-hole golf course, allows golfers to hone their skills before taking on the challenge of The Battleground. It is a great way for families to spend time together or introduce new friends to the game. A short Par-5 followed by a Par-3 and Par-4 provide a bunker-free experience for every level of golfer. Adults may walk unlimited holes for $9, Junior Golfers 18 & younger are free. Member's access is included in their dues.

Learning Center & Lighted Driving Range

The Battleground Golf Course has a complete Practice Facility. Hit balls and work at your own pace from the spacious grass driving range tee; and chip, pitch, or work on your bunker game.

If you only have time for a few holes, want to work on your game, or have a beginner learning the game, check out the Skirmish, our three-hole golf course.

The range ball dispenser accepts credit cards. (Attendant does not need to be on duty to purchase range balls with a credit card.) Range balls can also be purchased in the main golf shop if no attendant is on duty and guests prefers to use cash.

Club Repair

Golfers can also get minor club repairs such as re-gripping. Major club repair and club-building are also available through our partnership with a master club builder. Ask our team for more information.
